The European Union today is faced with numerous challenges including, but in addition to, Brexit. In this public lecture, senior German and European parliamentarian Elmar Brok MEP will offer his perspective on the way forward for Europe.

About the Speaker
Elmar Brok MEP is a senior European parliamentarian and the European People's Party (EPP) Brexit Coordinator. He was Chair of the European Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee from 1999 to 2007, and again from 2012 to February of this year. Mr Brok has represented Germany in the Parliament since 1980, during which time his impact on European policy has been substantial, including in the design of the EU's ultimately unsuccessful Constitutional Treaty. He is a prominent figure in the Christian Democratic Union, the party of incumbent German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
